check the space beside your plant’s root ball before choosing a pot. the base needs enough room to sit securely in the soil.

pot fit.

tested in a 12 cm pot. we recommend starting with pots of this size, with enough room beside the root ball for the base. allow around 100 mm or more of soil depth to fully insert the planting prongs. gently firm the mix around them and check that the pole stands securely.

as your plant grows, it may need a larger pot. if the roots have filled the current pot or there is no room for the base, consider moving to a slightly larger container when installing the pole.

WHY A MOSS POLE?

More than support.

A stake holds the plant up.
A moist moss pole gives aerial roots somewhere to grip, hydrate and take in nutrients, helping the plant climb and grow faster.

CLIMB UP

Less sprawl. More shape.

ROOT IN

Roots grow into moist moss.

GROW FASTER

More access to moisture and nutrients.

Growth results vary with light, maturity and care.

IN REAL LIFE

One month with a still moss pole.

The same monstera,  photographed from 4 September to 4 October. Real setup. Real growth.
Growing without direction.

Growing without direction.

Long stems were leaning in different directions, with no support to guide the plant upwards.

Set up and supported.

Set up and supported.

The moss pole was placed close to the main stem, then the plant and existing aerial roots were gently guided towards the moss.

Growth gets direction

Growth gets direction

As roots attach and stems climb, the plant can start growing more upright instead of spreading outward.

A new leaf appeared.

A new leaf appeared.

By the same date, the plant was also unfurling a new leaf—another change observed during its first month on the pole.

Growth varies by plant type, light, season and care routine.

EASY TO LIVE WITH

After setup, it stays simple.

Built to water, hold and grow with your plant in a simplest way.

A Good Fit If

If any of these sound familiar, your plant is a good fit for a moss pole.

  • Your plant naturally climbs or trails.
  • You can see aerial roots along the stem.
  • The plant is leaning, spreading or getting harder to shape.
  • You want to guide new growth upward.
  • You plan to keep the plant for the long run.
  • You want a setup that does not need constant adjusting.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Everything you may want to know before getting started.

Do I need a moss pole for my plant?

A moss pole is useful if your plant naturally climbs, leans, trails, or has aerial roots along the stem. It gives the plant vertical support and gives aerial roots a moist surface to grip and grow into.

Do I need to repot my plant to install this moss pole?

No. STILL moss poles are designed with a four-leg base that can be inserted into the existing pot without repotting. This helps avoid disturbing the roots while still adding stable support.

How do I keep a moss pole moist?

You can keep a moss pole moist by watering from the top and letting the water move through the moss. STILL includes an adjustable top watering cup, so you can fill from above and control the flow with less spraying and guesswork.

Can roots grow into this moss pole?

Yes. The large openings are designed to give aerial roots room to grow into the moss. The openings are also large enough to make plant clips easier to place.

Can I extend the moss pole as my plant grows?

Yes. STILL moss poles use a modular connection system, so you can add extension sections as your plant grows taller. This lets the support grow with the plant instead of replacing the whole setup.

Will the STILL moss pole match my home and plant setup?

Yes. STILL is designed to look clean, minimal and home-friendly, so it works with different pots, plants and interior styles while making the plant setup feel more finished.

Which plants are best for a moss pole?

Moss poles are best for climbing aroids such as Monstera, Philodendron, Pothos, Rhaphidophora, Syngonium and Monstera adansonii. They are especially useful when the plant is starting to spread outward, lean, or produce visible aerial roots.

How long does it take to set up a moss pole?

The STILL moss pole is designed for a simple three-step setup: fill, twist and clip. Fill the sections with soaked moss, twist the parts together, then place the pole into the pot and clip a strong stem to the openings.
